ThinkerBot is a product of Thinkering Collective, operated through Thinkering Labs and distributed via Thinkering Media.

Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy outlines how ThinkerBot (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects the information you share when using our platform and services. We are committed to maintaining your trust and protecting your information in alignment with FERPA, COPPA, and relevant state and federal laws.

2. Information We Collect

We collect limited information to enable functionality and improve the platform. This includes:

  • User-provided information: name, email address, role (e.g., educator or admin), and school affiliation

  • Usage data: prompts submitted, tool interactions, and anonymized feedback

  • Authentication data: SSO, token access, or secure logins via authorized district partners

We do not collect or store personally identifiable student information unless explicitly authorized under a district-approved agreement.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide personalized, AI-assisted learning tools

  • Analyze trends and improve service performance

  • Respond to support inquiries and product feedback

  • Ensure compliance with district or partner agreements

We never sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Tools

We may use secure third-party platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Google Cloud) to power certain features of ThinkerBot. These vendors are contractually obligated to handle data in compliance with relevant privacy laws.

Data may also be shared with your institution (school or district) in accordance with any Data Processing Agreements or FERPA-compliant service terms.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use ad-tracking cookies. Cookies are used only for session security, access authentication, and user experience continuity.

6. Data Retention

We retain non-personal usage data to improve system performance and training. Identifiable user data is stored only as long as your account is active or as required by your school/district agreement.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards to protect all data, including encryption, access controls, and internal protocols to limit exposure and misuse.

8. Your Rights

As an educator or district partner, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your data

  • Request correction or deletion of your data

  • Revoke consent or terminate use

  • File a complaint if your data has been mishandled

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. When we do, we’ll notify users through the platform or direct district contacts. Continued use of ThinkerBot indicates acceptance of any changes.
